Take a look at some of the activities our Events Committee co-produce with Building Circles

The activities and social events we run are for adults with learning disabilities registered with the Building Circles charity.

Our Gloucester based Art Workshop

We run a small art workshop in Gloucester that continues to be a space to learn new artistic skills, meet peers and build friendships in a relaxed environment. The class takes inspiration from different artists throughout time to create unique pieces. Our events committee also organised two pottery sessions with Helen Rogers and a bunting making workshop with the National Trust in the same hall.

Join one of our allotments

We currently have 3 allotment patches in Gloucestershire

  • Kingsway, Gloucester
  • Stonehouse
  • Prestbury, Cheltenham

The allotment groups tend to run from March to October and are led by fantastic volunteers who are fully DBS checked. These groups create safe spaces to learn more about gardening, socialise with peers, and of course enjoy the fresh produce + tea and cake of course!

Join us on a boat trip

We usually organise boat trips with The Willow Trust once a year. The boats are wheelchair accessible and provide a calm and relaxing day out for all. Everyone gets a chance to meet the captain and steer the boat.

Potluck Picnic

This year our Events Committee organised a Potluck Picnic - a picnic where everyone brings a dish of food to share amongst friends.

We had access to the SpICE community space in Stonehouse, which has its own picnic benches and plenty of space for some outdoor games, face painting and a gazebo.

How to get involved

All of our Social Buddy and Gig Buddy participants will have the opportunity to attend the events and groups we organise throughout the year.

If you would like to refer yourself or someone else to join in with our activities, please click on the link to our referral form.

We match our volunteers with adults with learning disabilities to share fun activities they both enjoy.
