Our buddy programmes help tackle isolation in our community by bringing together adults with learning disabilities with local volunteers based on personalities, shared interests and location. Our buddy pairs spend time together doing things they enjoy and getting out and about.

Building Circles manages two different buddy schemes – Social Buddies and Gig Buddies.

Social Buddies

Social Buddies is all about having fun in the community with someone who shares your interests and hobbies. Our Social Buddies enjoy activities like going to the cinema, shopping, bikes rides, going out for coffee or lunch and even simply meeting up for a walk and a chat.

Gig Buddies

Gig Buddies is all about enjoying nights out at live music venues with a local buddy who shares your taste in music and likes to stay up late.
